The Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention at the CDC "remains on the forefront of pursuing high impact prevention" of HIV/AIDS (1). A potential collaboration effort that could be beneficial would be a local one. As CDC is present in Atlanta, there are many opportune times to provide educational talks. For example, recently there was a pride parade for LGBT communities to come together and celebrate. While there was an AIDS walk to support those effected by the HIV virus, talks given by those infected with HIV, the head of the division of HIV/AIDS prevention, and more could really make a difference. Additionally, condoms could be given out publicly as means to promote safe sex.
